Deepika Bajaj’s new site, Invincibelle, spotlights fascinating multicultural women finding their way in America. Few of the women she profiles are more global savvy than Bajaj, however. Born in Delhi, she studied in Bangalore and New York, and she has lived and worked in multiple countries as a telecom consultant.
The high-achieving women she profiles nevertheless “sometimes feel isolated when we get here,” says Bajaj. “And we are trying to find a place where we can find each other.” Bajaj’s own global career, which she calls a “lovely journey,” has lead her to France, the U.K. and the U.S.
In one recent profile, Yoshiko Roth, Founder & Owner, Juara Skin Care, a woman who is half Japanese, half German, describes her move from Germany to Pennsylvania before establishing herself in the hottest of melting pots, New York City. Mihwa Cha, VP, Device Development at Sprint, talks about how America has changed since she emigrated from Korea 30 years ago.
Bajaj espouses an engaging view of multiculturalism, suggesting that the best approach is to ask, “How can you make it a positive experience, and make it an asset to yourself and to others?” Her way is to inspire others.
