Not only did I study abroad, I feel that it is such an invaluable opportunity, that I now work for CEA, an organization that provides international education options for high school & college students. This article makes the NAFSA Conference in Minneapolis sound as if though the only reason it exists and for universities to be interested in the topic is for capital gain. Considering the conference and the Paul Simon Study Abroad Foundation Act are also focused on Americans going abroad (something that typically doesn't earn colleges extra money) would counter this concept. Studying abroad is an amazing life changing experience that broadens one's horizons and opportunities to succeed in the ever shrinking global marketplace. Assuredly worthwhile.
