Hi Rusty -- Lynda and I completely share your concern that today its almost impossible to tell one corporate giant from another. Companies (unwisely, in our view) put their energy into their ability to select the "right" employees. Our experience is that they'd be better off to put their energy into helping YOU select them -- by giving you a much clearer sense of what its like to work there before you join or, at a minimum, very early in the process. They need to think about creating a distinctive way of doing things that some (but not all) people will LOVE, rather than trying to do a little bit of everything that no one really cares about. Thanks for the discussion!
